Behind-the-scenes tour

If you hear an emphatic neigh in the distance, it is coming from the lips of the majestic Tempel Lipizzans in Old Mill Creek. Invite mom to a meet and greet inside the dancing stallions’ humble abode. On this behind-the-scenes tour, attendees will learn about the Lipizzan history, the methods of classical riding and receive a full tour of the farm. The tour will end in the Old Mill Creek farm’s arena with a daily training session and a Q&A with the trainers. There is a tour on the second Saturday of each month from Jan-May until the season begins in June.

The Rainbow Fish

A glow-in-the-dark adventure is just what the doctor ordered. The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia takes their Rainbow Fish production on the road with unique puppets, panoramic scenes and a plethora of lights. Based on the 1992 publication by Marcus Pfister, the story follows a story of a kaleidoscopic fish who’s obsessed with his shine, and he rubs the other undersea creatures the wrong way. Nobody wants to play with this arrogant protagonist, as he goes on an adventure to find a friend. The show is on March 20, 2019.
