From livestock barns and competitive exhibits to motocross and demo derbies, from Billboard chart-topping musicians to Lake County local talent and from fabulous food to thrilling amusement rides, the 89th Annual Lake County Fair has fun for the entire family.
There’s so much you can explore at the fair every year, but these are five things you can’t miss at the 89th Annual Lake County Fair from Wednesday-Sunday, July 26-30.
For the first time ever, the Lake County Fair will host a concert in the Grandstand. Hot off their smash number one hit “I Know Somebody,” (RIAA Gold-certified) and seen on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the TODAY Show and singing the National Anthem for the 2016 World Series, country chart-toppers LOCASH will perform Friday, July 28. The band consisting of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust is also known for “I Love This Life” (which also ascended to the top of the Billboard Country Charts). Lucas and Brust co-wrote Keith Urban’s 2011 song “You Gonna Fly” (which hit no.1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in February 2012) and Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” (which was certified platinum and peaked at 10 on the Billboard US Country Airplay in July 2012). The duet was nominated this year for an Academy of Country Music Award and a CMT Music Award.
Friday, July 28; Gates open at 6 p.m. Concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets: $20-$30. Children ages five and under are free with fair admission. Grandstand.
