Lambs Farm in Green Oaks/Libertyville is ready for an exciting season ahead with the much-anticipated opening day where families and animal lovers can embark on a journey filled with fun and memorable experiences. The farm, home to over 300 furry and feathered friends, including adorable lambs to friendly goats, ponies, a camel and a variety of other farm animals. Throughout the season, Lambs Farm will host various educational programs and animal demonstrations, seasonal celebrations and holiday-themed festivities. In addition to interacting with the animals, visitors can explore the charming surroundings of Lambs Farm, including its quaint shops, scenic gardens and delicious onsite dining options, Magnolia Café and Bakery. As Lambs Farm opens its doors to the community once again, anticipation is running high for what promises to be a season filled with laughter, learning and love. Fox Lake is ready for a two-week celebration of community, nature and the iconic American White Pelican migration. From March 30 to April 14, the town will host the eagerly awaited "Pelican Palooza," showcasing the best of local businesses, parks and public spaces. Throughout the two weeks, visitors can explore the charming streets of Fox Lake and discover the diverse array of local businesses participating in Pelican Palooza. From boutique shops to cozy cafes and restaurants, special promotions, discounts and themed offerings will delight patrons. One of the highlights of Pelican Palooza is the series of events planned in collaboration with Fox Lake's parks and public spaces. Families can enjoy picnics by the lake, nature walks, birdwatching sessions and educational workshops about the American White Pelicans and other local wildlife. The Hawthorn in Vernon Hills is hosting families can take festive photos with the Easter Bunny during designated hours. Reservations are available online, but walk-ins are also welcome. The experience with Peter Cottontail also provides your little ones with a free basket of virtual activities, including printable activity sheets and coloring pages. Don’t miss the Easter Egg-venture event at Hawthorn Green Space, promising an egg-cellent adventure from thrilling egg hunts to special guest appearances, face painting and more. Brace yourselves for an extraordinary day of magic as the Volo Museum prepares to host their "Princesses and Superheroes" event. Get ready for an egg-citing adventure as the Zion Park District hosts its Easter Egg Hunt with over 10,000 colorful eggs hidden throughout the park. Participants ages two-to-eight years old are in for a treat as they embark on the hunt for candy-filled treasures and fun toy prizes. The hunt will be divided into age groups, with each group assigned a specific color to ensure fairness and excitement for everyone involved. Gather the family and head to Shiloh Park on the morning of March 30 to join in the fun. Attendees are advised to arrive early to ensure they don't miss out on any of the egg-hunting action. In addition to the egg hunt itself, the Zion Park District has planned a variety of activities and entertainment to keep participants entertained throughout the morning.
