A Second Visit to KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort

Keylime Cove is Chicagoland’s largest indoor waterpark. Located in Gurnee across from Six Flags Great America, this destination is roughly an hour between Chicago and Milwaukee.
I paid the resort a visit for the second time earlier this week. The first time visiting was several years back not too long after it first opened. My intention years ago was simply to check it out and see what all of the hype is about, but I ended up staying longer and buying some goodies too!
The first thing that caught my attention was its massive 65,000 square foot exterior, which is equally as impressive from within. Keylime prides itself as being a clean and friendly experience. They achieve this level of cleanliness by utilizing “O-Zone Technology” which claims to be the most powerful natural sanitizer on Earth. The friendliness of course comes from their fabulous staff who provide an exceptional level of customer service.

Keylime Cove Indoor Waterpark and Resort appeared fairly similar from my recollection based on my previous experience: clean, friendly with a southern Florida Keys theme and a large indoor waterpark that any family would enjoy.

The water slides really seem to extend way outside the building. That’s one thing that’s not included when people talk about how big an indoor water park is in terms of square footage. Makes it seem even bigger than it is, I’m sure.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds like a lot of fun.
