April Fool's! Seriously Though!

Today is April Fools Day. No.... seriously. It is. Who doesn't love a good laugh? And why does it have to stop on April 1st? We don't think it does. Here are a few ideas to help you carry over the laughter to some other days.
Juz Jokkin' Comedy Club is Open! New to Lake County, this comedy club hosts monthly comedy nights, and plans on having more in the summer months. It's 21 or over, and it's in the Holiday Inn Gurnee, so look for some great room rates and make a weekend out of it!
Wednesday, April 2 Blues Brothers Revue James Lumbar Center for the Performing Arts in Grayslake This live concert combines the comedy and hits from the original movie and pays homage to Chicago’s rich history of blues, gospel and soul music. Hear all the classics, “Soul Man,” “Rubber Biscuit,” “Sweet Home Chicago” and more. Jake, Elwood and the band 
hit the right balance of humor, music and mayhem. So let's not hear any excuses like.... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! This is going to be a night of music and comedy... what's not to love?
Friday, April 11 Ron White at the Genesee Theatre 
Comedian Ron White, is known for his rough around the edges, scotch-drinking, cigar smoking stand up comedy. e's a classic story teller, and has plenty of hilarious tales to share. One of the three comedians from the extremely successful Blue Collar Comedy Tour, co-starring Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engval, Ron White is one of Comedy Central's biggest stars. Enjoy a night of mature comedy from this comedic favorite in the classic Genesee Theatre.
Friday, April 11 - Saturday April 19 The Gathering at the Improv Playhouse Hear me out. So this is a play about the last supper, but it has a totally new twist! This contemporary, yet respectful, is an adaptation about the last hour of the last supper and has been called "a can't miss, inspirational rendition of one of the most important hours in the history of mankind... Through humor and character driven roles, we can all identify with this band of brothers."
