The Play Now and Forever: The music of Andrew Lloyd Webber1. Last Weekend to See - Now & Forever: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Through Sunday, March 24, hurry over to the Marriott Theatre for your last chance to see a theatrical treasure of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary music. Featuring highlights from Evita, CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, Love Never Dies and Phantom of the Opera. Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Dr., Lincolnshire. 2. CLC Gospel Choir. At 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, an exciting array of gospel music will be performed by talented singers, soloists and instrumentalists from the Gospel Choir. Their songs of praise will lift your spirits and have you clapping along with joy. Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for children and seniors. James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at CLC. 19351 Washington St., Grayslake. 3. Easter Parade at the Genesee Theatre. Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. Come out for the 1948 classic film Easter Parade. On the day before Easter, Don Hewes is crushed when his dancing partner, Nadine Hale, refuses to start a new contract with him. In response, Don acquires new protégée, Hannah Brown, vowing to make her a star for next year’s Easter parade. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for seniors (65+), kids under 12 and military with ID. Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. 4. Mystery Dinner ‘The Haunted Hunter.’ Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m., join in the fun with a “murder mystery dinner” full of suspense, mayhem and excitement. $179 package includes overnight accommodations, show and dinner for two. Dinner and show only are $40 per person. Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center, 1 Lake Front Dr., Zion. 5. Malott Japanese Garden Spring Weekend. Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., celebrate spring by writing a seasonal haiku, making a cherry blossom hanging scroll and various other hands-on activities. Enjoy traditional storytelling, a koto harp performance and a walk through the Japanese Garden. Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe.
