In addition to the portraits, sculptures and other artistic vibes, munch on some delicious dining options at various downtown Waukegan locations like La Casa de Samuel, Green Town Tavern, Green Town on the Rocks, Win Win Restaurant, Jerk N’ More and others. Nudge, collide and compete against your friends and family in the unique bumper car sport WhirlyBall. Everyone’s favorite lacrosse/basketball/bumper car fusion game returns as the Vernon Hills facility reopened its doors this week. The all-ages venue also features laser tag and billiards. The play place also has a little something for adults. Besides delectable eats, WhirlyBall has a vast selection of brews while the youngsters duke it out (or you join in on the fun). The feast includes fare from Timothy O’Toole’s Pub Lake Villa, Galati’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria in Lake Villa and suds compliments of Lake County Libation Trail Maker Harbor Brewing Co. in Winthrop Harbor. The event is also highlighted by a live performance by the rock, pop and country musical talent, the Judson Brown Band from 6-9 p.m. Lehmann Park encourages picnickers to socially distance and wear a facemask. No dogs and coolers are allowed in the park, and foodies are directed to park at the Metra Station lot.
