Isn’t it time you showcased your talent for the world to hear? Do you consider yourself the Paul Simon of the modern day? Put your creativity to the test and submit a song as we’ve launched our I Love Lake County Song Search.
First and foremost, you must be a resident of the Lake County area (or if you’re in a band, have at least one member from the area). When you’re writing this tune, we want you to look back at the experiences you’ve had growing up to as current as yesterday and paint a picture in your song about what is great about Lake County.
Maybe it’s the nature. Maybe it is a hot spot you went to when you were in high school. Maybe it is going fast down a roller coaster, a sledding hill or splashing in the water during the summer time. It could be the beauty of the nature Lake County obtains, or a favorite restaurant you shared your first kiss at.
You will be able to submit the song from February 17 – March 29, 2015.
Whatever it may be, Visit Lake County will ultimately crown two winners in this song search! The two winners will be for the Ultimate Grand Prize Winner and from the Fan Vote (which will be located on visitlakecounty.org ).
The Ultimate Grand Winner will be voted on by our panel of music professionals. The potential winner will obtain $1000, a music video (similar to our Summer 2014 music video ‘Best Day of my Life’ video), a professionally recorded version of their song and the possibility to perform live at Lake County Summer/Fall Festivals.
