Day before Thanksgiving Music events

The day before Thanksgiving is always a popular night to go out and enjoy some live music, and there is no shortage of them this year. Before we get into the music venues for tonight, let’s take time to remember our blessings, family and friends and drive carefully. Now let’s get ready to dance and kick off the holiday season!

A personnel favorite hotspot of mine, Mickey Finns Brewery in Libertyville with feature the band Carbon Tigers to headline Black Wednesday! The band starts at 9pm and this is local boy’s, Chris Weinke (former Finn’s delivery driver) band. The Amber Room at Finns is a great place to watch a band. Grab some dinner beforehand, probably a Mickey Burger for me, and then head up stairs enjoy an 847 Suburban Wheat Ale and listen to some great music. Special note that their Santa’s Magic beer will be available this Friday.

If you are heading out on the west side of the county, SODA will get the party started at 9pm at Docks in Wauconda. Formed in 2008, this all star line up has quickly become one of Chicago’s most booked and beloved bands. If you like variety in musical experiences, then Soda will capture the heart and soul of one of the most diverse play lists found anywhere. Come out for some pre-Thanksgiving dancing.

If you are a lover of the 80s, you definitely want to stop by Cubby Bear North in Lincolnshire tonight at 10pm to listen to Sixteen Candles. A great energy band established in 2003, sixteen Candles makes it their personal duty and pleasure to bring all the great 80’s songs you love to life in full force. Their attention to detail and commitment to entertainment captivates audiences.

So, where will you be hanging out tonight? Are there any local bands that you like to follow? Are you looking for other pubs to hang out at tonight? Be sure to check out our Train Crawl Blog.

I hope to see you out tonight and this holiday weekend. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
