When it comes to family friendly activities for kids, Gurnee has no shortage with a variety of fun-filled establishments to choose from. One of these destinations is Jump America, a factory-sized building just south of Grand Ave. with over 16,000 square feet of trampolines, two dodgeball courts, a foam jumping pit and more.
Even though my experience at Jump America was witness to a group party for kids, I learned that the trampolines can also be used by adults. Jump America has adult aerobics classes Tuesdays through Thursdays where groups of all ages use the massive trampolines for exercise. The class structure typically consists of warm-up, cardio/jumping, upper body strength training and stretching.

While attending Jump America, one section that made me wish I was a kid again was the dodgeball area. Growing up, one of my favorite gym class sports was dodgeball and seeing it played on trampolines looked like a lot of fun! The most popular section; however, was the foam jumping pit. Groups of kids would spend all afternoon trying to find new ways to jump through or over stacks of blocks into the pit.
Beyond the fun activities, Jump America also has some of the friendliest staff members I’ve met in the area. Whether you’re a parent looking for aerobic classes or a kid with loads of energy, Jump America is one of those hidden gems in Gurnee that shouldn’t be missed.
