Lake County Guide to Father’s Day

There are many ways you can show your dad how much you love them: a homemade card, a piece of his favorite pie from one of the farmer’s markets, plan a golf outing or watch the pros do it by scoring him some tickets to the BMW Championship September 14-20 at Conway Farms Golf Course in Golf.

North Shore Distiller is opening early so that we can toast to the summer solstice at 11:38am at the Father’s Day Celebrations – Bloodies, Tours and Solstice Toast! We also want to celebrate the great fathers out there, so bring your dad in for a distillery tour, and his tour will be on the house. Special tour available at 3pm, please call or email to reserve a spot as this sold out last year. There will also be a great Bloody Mary bar all day.

Celebrate Dad with Lambs Farm’s Father’s Day Brunch! Dad can choose from hearty entrees or breakfast favorites, and top it off with heavenly desserts straight from the bakery! Explore nature by using a GPS to find hidden clues along our trails, shoot a bow and arrow, build shelters in the woods, or work together to build a fire. End the afternoon with a cookout–you bring dinner, we’ll provide the grill. Activities are subject to change. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

15th Annual Corvette, Chevy & Street Rod Father’s Day Car Show

9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Nothing is more nostalgic than seeing the hot rods your father drove in his younger days. Register a car to show or just come out and see all the great cars. On dad’s special day, there’s nothing more relaxing than having a barbecue bites on the beach. This day out includes an unlimited BBQ Buffet which includes burgers, chicken, sandwiches, beer brats, hot dogs, Cole slaw, potato salad, pasta salad, potato chips and dessert. There will also be live music from De Hurricane.

Bring dad out to Father’s Day Dinner at the Waukegan Yacht Club for a great dinner for his special day. Enjoy a beautiful view to go along with the taste meal.
