Memorial Day Parades and Ceremonies in Lake County

Memorial Day is the time of year that we celebrate the men and woman of this great country who have fallen in battling to maintain our freedom. To those of our readers that have been at in the military; We Thank You for your service.

Many communities are hosting parades and ceromonies around Lake County  to honor our soldiers.

As Americans, we recognize the country gathers together to honor these fallen soldiers and honor their lives and what they stand for; and know that their lives are never forgotten every day that their gone.

Here is the complete guide to Memorial Day parades and ceremonies in Lake County (Monday, May 25).

Grayslake Memorial Day Parade Location: Downtown Grayslake Route: Lake St to Junior Avenue to Memorial Park Start: 9:30 a.m.

Libertyville Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony Location: Cook Park and Lakeside Cemebary Route: Commuter Train Station to Cook Park Start: 9:30 a.m., Memorial Day ceremony at 9:45 a.m.

Lindenhurst Memorial Day Ceremony Location: Veteran's Memorial Park - 2301 E. Sand Lake Rd Start: 10 a.m.

Round Lake Memorial Day Parade Location: American Legion - 111 E. Main St Route: 363 N. Cedar Lake Rd to Claredon., After Parade: American Legion has drink specials, DJ and Karoake Start: 10 a.m.

Waukegan Memorial Day Parade Location: Downtown Waukegan Route: South from Genesee St & Grand Ave-west on Clayton St-south on Martin Luther King Jr Ave., west on Washington St ending at Veterans Memorial Plaza @ West and Washington St Start: 10:30 a.m.

Village of Lincolnshire Annual Memorial Day Ceremony Location: Spring Lake Park - 49 Oxford Dr Start: 10 a.m.

Lake Zurich Memorial Parade Location: Lake Zurich's American Legion & Downtown Route: 51 Lions Dr to Veterans Monument  @ 200 Mohawk Trail/brief service to follow Start: 10 a.m.

Winthrop Harbor Memorial Day Parade & Service Location: Winthrop Harbor - Sheridan Rd & 9th st Route: Sheridan Rd & State Line Rd to Village Park Parade & Service: AIR-ONE will do a a fly-over during the parade and land on the baseball diamond adjacent to Memorial Park at 38-acres. Parade concludes with a VFW Memorial Service. 

Memorial Day Parade in Lake Villa Location: Downtown Lake Villa Route: starts at Lehmann Park and ends at the VFW Post where there will be a Memorial service to follow. Start: 12 p.m.

Wauconda Memorial Day Parade

Location: Downtown Wauconda Route: Main St to Memorial Park Start: 10 a.m. Mundelein Memorial Day Parade Location: Mundelein Village Hall Route: New Village Hall -west on Hawley St to Greenview Avenue - Memorial Park Start: 10 a.m.

Barrington Memorial Day Parade and Historic Walking Tours Location: Downtown Barrington Route: Cook and Main Streets to Evergreen Cemetery. Service to follow. Historic walking tour of the business district  to occur after service. Start: 10 a.m.
