Today wasn't my first time in Waukegan, but I quickly realized that this artistic city on the shores of Lake Michigan has grown tremendously since I last visited.
First, I paid a visit to the WXLC 102.3 FM radio station for an on-air appearance on the Jimmy & Lisa Morning Show.
Following the rush of being live on air, I cruised down Genesee Street in style.
Waukegan certainly supports the arts - I found so many amazing artists in this community.
I even met and painted with some up-and-coming young Waukegan artists.
In the heart of downtown Waukegan, I stopped by the Urban Edge Gallery to find all different kinds of artistic masterpieces.
Later, I put on my (invisible) conducting gloves for the Waukegan Band Foundation.
I also stopped by Your This and That Shop today to see some old friends.
Next, I took a tour of beautiful Waukegan Harbor with Quinn, a very capable junior sailor from the Waukegan Yacht Club Youth Foundation.
Overall, I had a great day exploring Waukegan, and I look forward to my next visit - there is plenty more to see.
