North Shore Distillery's Grand Opening

North Shore Distillery has been a staple right on the border of Libertyville and Lake Bluff. Their new headquarters are stationed in Green Oaks now.

If you’ve been under a rock, the duo: Derek and Sonja Kassebaum are the proprietors of this Lake Bluff drinking post and have been since 2004. The duet started selling their bottles in 2005 and hasn’t looked back since then.

It is well-known that North Shore Distillery is the first craft distillery in the state of Illinois where they’ve won  awards for their handcrafted vodkas, gins liqueurs.

May 13 is the big day though.  The new facility will be equipped with a brand spanking new tasting room, cocktail bar and distillery store.

The Kassebaum’s have been known for their distillery tours and they will return in early June. However, this one of a kind distillery holds private events meetings and gatherings.

We are also happy to say that North Shore Distillery is a part of the inaugural Lake County Restaurant Week. Restaurant Week stretches from June 10 – 19 where North Shore will have a special flight of cocktails and snacks available. Continue here for the Green Oaks facilities’ prix fixe menu.

First-Ever North Shore Spelling Bee - June 4 at 7:30 pm - join us for cocktails, spelling and laughs at our official spelling bee! The event will be moderated by a true spelling connoisseur. All spelling levels are welcome

Board Game Days @ NSD – Everyone likes gamenight. Bring your favorite game and hang out for cocktails on the first Sunday of each month, starting June 5 from 12-7 pm!

New Summer Favorites Class - Join the first Illinois craft distillery on  Sunday, June 12 at 4 pm for their  first cocktail class in the  new location. They will offer a range of great cocktails for summer.

Summer Solstice Celebration – This popular event from 2015 returns and North Shore will celebrate the official beginning of summer with a festive celebration on Saturday, June 18.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. What’s up for the May 13 Grand Opening Celebration? The festivities begin May 13; 4 p.m. where North Shore will have an official ribbon cutting with the Mayor, cocktails, tastings and so much more.

That being said the distillery will be open all weekend just in case you couldn’t get to the celebration on Friday. So Stop on in to North Shore Distillery’s Grand Opening and wet your whistle.
