Pizza Month in Lake County

I mean come on people, you can call it a present for a long week, comfort food, and something you can eat morning, noon or night (of course I haven’t done that before…) and everything else under the sun.

This month I’ve been celebrating highly o my favorite food as it is National Pizza Month.

While taking this time to take this month extremely serious – here’s a little back story about the pie that makes us much obliged.

Pizza’s long history begins in ancient Greece where these people covered bead with oils, herbs and cheese. The modern day version of pizza originated in Naples, Italy around the 18th or 19th century.

Apparently the first pizza was made for the Royal Palace of Capodimonte in 1889 (which used to be where the kings and queens of Naples and Sicily resided at and is now a museum/national gallery). And the rest is history.

Here in Lake County, there are tons of options to get your pizza cravings fulfilled. So before I disappear into a delicious slice of pizza, here are some of the best places you can grab pizza in Lake County.
