Places in Lake County to Watch the Chicago Bears

chicago-bears-logoIn my opinion, the start to the Chicago Bears season could have been worse. Holding Aaron Rodgers to only 187 yards is an understatement of playing well. However, when you’re trying to control the clock and you get down, it’s difficult to climb back into the game.

Well, Week 2 is vastly approaching and you might have been searching for the best spot around Lake County to watch the Bears. Even though they’ve changed their defense to 3-4, they’re still monsters of the midway in my book.

We’ll never forget the way they thrilled the nation, with their T formation. Let’s hope for a great Week 2, and find your bar in Lake County to watch the Chicago Bears.

Timothy O’ Toolestimothy-o-tooles 5572 Grand Ave, Gurnee

There is also another Lake County location of the celebrated Irish pub on 412 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Besides the wide selection of 19 beers on tap, O’Tooles has a slew of TVs to catch the Bears (or your fantasy player not playing up to par). The Gurnee restaurant is equipped with award-winning wings, burgers, fish and chips.

To complement over 10 TVs they have in the facility, Mickey Finn’s Brewery in Libertyville has a ridiculous amount of beer on tap. Up to 48 beers and that’s not counting what they have bottled. This is a great venue for you Monsters of the Midway watchers. Finn’s boasts their trophy case as not only the first brewpub in Lake County, but they have also received national and international awards for their suds.

Lindy’s Landing 115 Park St, Wauconda.

Celebrate 50 years with this staple of Lake County as Matt Forte bobs and weaves on the television. Lindy’s Landing A beautiful family-owned restaurant and sports bar located on Bang's Lake with two outdoor decks and a beach area. Catch the remaining 15 games at Lindy’s.

Scoreboard  Bar & Grill 84 N. Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich

A neighborhood sports bar and grill with great service and an amazing food including burgers, pizza, wings, a Friday Night Fish Fry, soup and more. While the weather is nice, the TV on the patio is all set up for the games.

Chaser’s Sports Bar and Grill 830 S. Rand Rd., Lake Zurich

This family owned and operated sports bar and grill is a great place to come to after a game or to watch a game. The menu includes burgers, pizza, hot dogs, foot-long Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and wings, along with soups homemade daily.

Buffalo Wild Wings 361 W. Town line Rd., Vernon Hills.

Looking for a Grill & Bar restaurant offering wings, beer & live sports? Buffalo Wild Wings offers all of these and professional bartenders, fresh chicken wings, salads, burgers and more. Wall-to-wall football. B-Dubs also wants you to write #footballrich to possibly be featured on their website. They will play any game, so call up and see if the game is on.

Bake’s Sports Theme Restaurant 33251 N. Highway 45, Grayslake.

For 26 years, this Grayslake establishment has been giving you the works, especially when the Bears bakes1area on. This restaurant offers burgers, wraps, sandwiches, seafood, pizza, steaks and much more. Plus they have seven delicious craft beers on tap.

Morgan’s Bar and Grill 532 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville

Bear Down in downtown Libertyville. Morgan’s is a great choice for service and great food. Menu includes pizza, burgers, sandwiches, ribs, seafood and more. You’ll not only leave with a belly full of goodness, you’ll hopefully be celebrating a W. Watch Alshon Jeffery and the crew as they have multiple flat-screen TV’s and they offer $5 mini- pitchers of Miller Lite & High Life. Don’t forget if you’re with a party, its $15 domestic beer buckets.

in-laws1In-Laws Restaurant 720 Milwaukee Ave., Gurnee

Searching for a place to watch the game with dear old MIL and FIL (mother and father-in-law respectively), or just with a couple buddies. In-Laws offers menu selections of steaks, ribs, pizza, sandwiches, salads and is home to the 40 ft. lunch and dinner buffet. This Gurnee establishment offers over 30 plasma TVs. During halftime, enjoy the dart boards, golden tee, bags and trivia games.

Emil’s Tavern on Center 604 N. Lake St, Mundelein and 161 Center St., Grayslake

While you’re prepping your fantasy picks with Bradshaw, Johnson, Strahan and Long, journey for Sunday Breakfast with the biggest Bloody Marys. If you can’t get there in time for the game, try the wings for 40 cents and grab a 23 oz. of Miller and/or Coors Lite for only $3.25.
