In Lake County, we all dance to the rhythm, drink some suds and spread around some Irish cheer. Let’s face it, everyone is a little bit Irish when it comes to March 17 in Lake County.

We won’t lead you astray though. Lake County has a full schedule of things to do when it comes to the energizing experience on St Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick's Day in Long Grove March 12; Long Grove Historic Village

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with special gifts from Long Grove's Irish specialty shops. Enjoy music, clothing and novelties from Ireland at Paddy's on the Square, or stop by the Irish Boutique for a selection of Irish-made jewelry, English and Irish foods, Waterford Crystal and Belleek China. The McNulty Irish Dancers will perform at Paddy's on the Square this Saturday, March 5 from 2 - 2:30 pm and Saturday, March 12 from 1:30 - 2pm. 

Village Tavern's St. Patrick's Day Party Saturday, March 12; 6:30-10:30 p.m.

Top off your celebrations by stopping by the Village Tavern on Saturday, March 12 for a St. Patrick's Party, live music from 6:30 - 10:30 pm. Enjoy traditional corned beef & cabbage washed down with green beer.

Saturday, March 12; 8:20 a.m.

The Deer Park St. Paddy’s 5k/10k features live Irish music to get everyone in the spirit, pucker up as you run beneath the on course kiss me I'm Irish arch. At the finish enjoy green soda pop, chocolate gold coins and more Irish inspired treats. The course weaves through the Deer Park Town Center and then onto the streets of the Village of Deer Park. The USATF certified 5k (3.1 mile) course is a completely paved course. All miles will be marked with a water stop along the way. Awards will be awarded to to the top 3 of each age category. Village of Lake Villa St. Patrick's Day Parade & Luncheon Saturday, March 12; Noon

Come out for a St. Patrick's Day celebration. Enjoy a parade that will start at Palombi School on McKinley Ave and end at the Lake Villa train station. St. Patrick's Day Specials @ Chessies Wednesday March 16-17

St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated Wednesday and Thursday at Chessie's with select specials. Enjoy Reuben Egg Rolls for an appetizer and then the famous Corned Beef and Cabbage or Lamb Shepherd's Pie.
