But before we get started with this week’s Tasty Tuesday feature, and if you haven’t heard, Lake County is hosting their first Restaurant Week: 10 Days to Savor. The event stretches from June 10-19 of a plethora of pleasurable plates.
On the Lake County Restaurant Week committee, besides the featured Tasty Tuesday: Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Lincolnshire, also has Eddie Merlot’s in Lincolnshire, ZaZa’s Tavola Italiana in Barrington, Bill’s Pizza & Pub in Grayslake, Bills Pizza North in Mundelein and Village Tavern in Long Grove to name a few.
What can you say about Sullivan’s? It’s sustenance made with sophistication and dishes in decadence right smack dab in the middle of Lincolnshire. You will be able to enjoy amazing food, specially crafted cocktails, live music, and an ambiance unlike anywhere else.
There’s also the private dining option for those of you who are throwing a shindig.
Let’s start with the chef. After several years working all areas of the kitchen, Brian Gray was promoted to sous chef at Bravo Cucina Italiana. He came to Sullivan’s Steakhouse in 2012 and quickly moved up the ranks to become the executive chef.
The steaks are divine as they serve many different cuts of steak., i.e. filet mignon, filet duxelle mushroom stuffed 8 oz., New York strip, ribeye and more. You can see if you complete a dry aged long bone ribeye at 26 oz. in one sitting – or just enjoy dinner for the rest of the week.
Some of their other signature entrees include the steakhouse salad (Broiled Sliced Strip Steak, Deviled Egg, Crunchy Cress, Avocado, Bacon, Parmesan, Blue Cheese & Lemon-Horseradish Dressing), roasted rack of lamb (grain mustard-rosemary glaze) and the roasted balsamic chicken (with wild mushroom couscous and Cipollini onions).
Have a sweet tooth? Check out the crème brulee with Haitian vanilla bean.
Besides the wondrous steaks they prepare, Sullivan’s is known for their fresh seafood. Two of their top dishes include bacon-wrapped sea scallops (roasted with corn-jicama slaw and peach barbecue glaze) and the pan-seared seabass, ‘Hong Kong Style’ (with baby bok choy and sherry-soy glaze.
The Lincolnshire restaurant has a deal ready for your enjoyment: the sure thing $42 that includes an appetizer course, soup/salad course and entrée from a variety of seasonal favorites for $42 every day. Sullivan’s also has an event called Swingin’ at Sully’s where Thursdays all day and Sundays from 3-9 p.m. performers play live jazz paired with happy hour deals.
So what’re you doing today? Make your Tasty Tuesday exceptional with a dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Lincolnshire.
