It may look like I‘m having deep thoughts but 99% of the time, I‘m just thinking about what food I‘m going to eat later!🥞🥓 —— ➡️ @simomoo_ —— #chicago #illinois #usa #unitedstates #states #breakfast #brunch #wildberrys #food #travel #wildcitylife #citylife #city #traveltheworld #travelcommunity #travellife #travelphotography #borntotravel #bestplacetogo #exploretheworld #letsgosomewhere #girlslovetravel #letsgoeverywhere #globelletravels #dametraveler #traveltagged #travelphotography #luxuryworldtraveler #photography #foodphotography
It’s interesting because everyone has their own rendition of this sweet breakfast treat. There are versions of pancakes in each continent (with I think the exception is Antarctica).
Pancakes, via multiple sources, ages back to 30,000 years ago.
But enough of the historical mumbo jumbo, you want some pancakes – and we will supply you with a list of delicious options around Lake County for the holiday we love so dear. Don’t forget to indulge during Lake County Restaurant Week running February 28-March 8. Continue here to learn more.
Delightfully delectable would be a way to phrase nearly 35-year-old breakfast and lunch staple on MainStreet Libertyville. Townee’s got flapjacks for days. The “home of the double egg order,” is your classic, cozy and comfy diner. Besides the buttermilk flavor, Townee Square also serves chocolate chip, rainbow (with M&Ms) and of course a Mickey Mouse pancake. To get your full taste of autumn, Townee also serves some mean pumpkin silver dollars. Don’t forget to include bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pecans or walnuts if necessary.
Townee Square Restaurant, 508 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.
The Libertyville eatery specializes in the craft of silver dollars. Wildberry was ranked no. 21 in Thrillist.com’s article noting best-rated flapjacks in the country. Buttermilk pancakes are the restaurant’s bread and proverbial butter; however, they have a variety of flavors that they offer inspired by the breakfast treat. Wildberry’s menu features blueberries in a glaze, strawberries in a glaze, gluten-free honeycakes, their staple flavor wildberry, fig and walnut grain, their signature berry bliss, banana cream pie, caramel apple, pumpkin (’tis the season) and a whole bunch more.
