It’s been a long holiday break that we at Visit Lake County have all been recovering from.
However, before your friends at Visit Lake County took some much needed time to rest and relax, we had our company holiday lunch at Primo Italian American Cuisine in Gurnee run by the Khayat Restaurant Group.
Twas a spicy meatball!
Well, I didn’t have meatballs, I actually had the roasted chicken Alfredo which was extremely delicious.
This upscale Italian restaurant’s menu located at 720 N. Milwaukee Ave., near includes salads, sandwiches, pasta, seafood, steaks, and much more. It is open for lunch and for dinner.
Popular dishes with the Visit Lake County crew included the asparagus penne with sun dried tomato and buffalo mozzarella, roasted chicken Alfredo with sun dried tomatoes, roasted beet salad with red and yellow beets, orange slices, shallot, goat cheese and toasted walnuts, the apple panini with roasted chicken, brie and caramelized onions and many more we were extremely indecisive about. You can also wet your whistle with a wine list that boasts almost 100 different tastes.
The head chef at Primo is nationally renowned as well. Chef Rich Mancini came on board when establishments changed their identity and became the Gurnee Italian Restaurant. Mancini, who’s a resident of Bloomingdale actually has cooked for the Rolling Stones (how do you think they came up with up with the song Satisfaction? They hadn’t had Mancini’s delectable dishes yet).
ON New Year’s Even, Mancini was on Beat Bobby Flay, another Food Network show.
As you can see, Chef Rich has ridiculous skills. I almost want to ignore my shellfish allergy to have their “Mobster Lobster.”
Start 2016 on the right foot with a family dinner at Primo Italian American Cuisine. So what are you doing next weekend?
