As we kiss summer goodbye we remember all the fun things that happened – from the annual festivals, to the Lake County Fair to 40 years of Six Flags Great America to KeyLime Cove to 50 years of Lindy’s Landing and so many other events and venues.

We also remember the catchiest tune of the summer, Dylan Kroll’s “Lake County, the Bounty of Illinois.” If you’ve been under a rock, Kroll was the Grand Prize winner of our I Love Lake County Song Search and he’s been taking our area by storm.
