Whether it is indoor or outdoor activities, no little snow or brisk air is going to keep us from having some fun on the weekend. Get a glimpse of spring with the Northern Illinois Boat Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds, or celebrate by stargazing under
the moonlight at Heller Nature Center in Highland Park

2.)   The Antioch Fine Arts Foundation is nearing the
endThe Fourth Annual Peoples’ Choice Exhibition of their Fourth Annual Peoples’ Choice Exhibition. Artists participating have displaying their finest work for best in show for many different niches including painting, photography, stained glass, sketches, wood burning, sculpture jewelry, pottery, scarves and many other categories. Vote for your favorite artists. The award ceremony and reception are to follow.

3.)    What is more beautiful than gazing upon the night sky in Lake County? The twinkle in the sky is extra accentuated during clear nights in the winter time. The Heller Nature Center in Highland Park invites you and your family to the Winter Astronomy experience. The event is free of admission. Some of the wonders you will see through a telescope are the moon, constellations and even Jupiter!

5.)    It is always eye-opening when children have musical talent at such a young age. The Waukegan High School Trapp Auditorium is hosting “Young People’s Concert,” with an up close and personal outlook and tour of the world of music.
