1. Wilmot Mountain's Grand Re-opening Celebration
Help celebrate $13M in improvements at Wilmot Mountain! From construction to celebration – Wilmot Mountain is inviting everyone to come celebrate their renovations, so head to the hill for an all-day event featuring family-friendly activities and fun for everyone. Hang out in the lodge, have a meal at Walt's Tavern, spend some time on the slopes, and spend time with the whole family. Watch the Wilmot Adult Race Team in their first Wilmot Race of the season; enjoy an ice sculpting demonstration, a rail jam, s’mores by the fire, live music and more!

2. Meet Marshall from Adventure Bay at Tilt Studio
It's time to get fired up! Direct from Adventure Bay comes that ruff-ruff and ready daring Dalmatian Marshall from Paw Patrol to Tilt Studio at Rink Side Family Entertainment Center in Gurnee. It's the doggone best opportunity to meet your favorite pup in person. Marshall will make three very special one-hour-long appearances.
Saturday, January 7; 11 a.m., 2 p.m. & 5 p.m. Free admission. Tilt Studio at Rink Side Family Entertainment Center, 6152 W. Grand Ave, Gurnee.
3. Zurko Antique and Flea Market
For 45 years, Zurko Promotions has been bringing quality antique shows and flea markets to the Midwest. This weekend’s show at the Lake County Fairgrounds will offer a variety of antiques and collectibles, including country furniture, estate jewelry, Victoriana, postcards, art glass and porcelains, advertising items, old toys, vintage clothing and linens, coins, decorator items, paintings, primitives, treasures, and much, much more.

4. Elvis' Birthday Party at Volo Auto Museum
‘Everybody, let’s rock!’ Volo Auto Museum will be doing just that while they’re celebrating Elvis Presley’s birthday on Sunday, January 8. Enjoy two performances by Chicagoland’s #1 Elvis impersonator Travis Morris at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., free birthday cupcakes, and get your picture taken with “Elvis”!

5. Lake/Cook County Wedding Bridal Expo
