The Taste of Summer Festival in Antioch features carnival rides for the family, deliciously prepared eats from the village’s top restaurants, splendid merch from the area’s sidewalk sale and, of course, exceptional live acts for you and the family in the Brook Bandshell including Bella Cain, Hi Infidelity, Suburban Cowboys, the Neverly Brothers, Shadows of Knight, Judson Brown and more.

All weekend, fall in love with your favorite season all over again during Vernon Hills Summer Celebration 2016. Have a bite to eat, take a ride on a carnival ride and enjoy an abundance of live entertainment from headliner Smashmouth and other acts like The Hot Sauce Committee, Hello Weekend, Mike & Joe and Kaleidoscope Eyes. Compete in the bags tournament on Sunday or just gaze upon pristine vessels at the car show on Saturday.

The Grandwood Park Civic Association is bringing Summerfest back to the Gurnee community. This year’s Summerfest will again be held at Hutchins Athletic Field for one day only. Activities include a craft fair, a Super Hero Bike Parade, family games, baggo’s, music, bonfire and more.

The Mundelein Police Department invites kids and their families to enjoy some fishing fun at the annual Cops N’ Bobbers Fishing Derby. There will also be free raffle tickets for prizes and fishing poles and bait available. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day.
