Ryerson Woods’ Halloween Hikes Friday - Saturday, October 24 - 25, 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The Lake County Forest Preserves are offering one-hour guided hikes along a candlelit path in Ryerson Woods. This event will be fun natured and not scary, plus you will get to enjoy donuts and cider afterwards. Cost is $9 for adults & $7 for children. Ryerson Woods Forest Preserve, Riverwoods

2.) Haunted Halloween Children’s Activity at Great Lakes Naval Museum Saturday, October 25, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Start the Halloween celebration off with a free event for the kids at the Great Lakes Naval Museum. This event will feature face painting, animal exhibits, mini-pumpkin decorating and other Halloween themed activities. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Navy’s history in Lake County. 3.) Deer Park Town Center’s Fall Festival Saturday, October 25, 12 p.m. Bring the kids out shopping at Deer Park Town Center for their Fall Fest. 4.) Celebrate 50 Years of the Munsters at Volo Auto Museum Saturday, October 25, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Volo Auto Museum is celebrating 50 years of the Munsters with a meet and greet and demonstration by Keith Dean, builder of the original Munster Koach. Trick-or-Treating kicks off this Sunday in a number of Lake County Communities; Beach Park 2pm-5pm, Gurnee 2pm-5pm, Hainesville 3:30pm-7pm, North Chicago 2pm-5pm, Park City 2pm-4pm, Round Lake area 1pm-5pm, Wadsworth 2pm-5pm, Waukegan 1pm-4pm and Zion 2pm-5pm.
