1. Lake County Restaurant Rally: Feed the Economy

Visit Lake County celebrates the gradual re-opening of restaurants as we announce Lake County Restaurant Rally (LCRR) running February 26-March 7. The focus is encouraging residents to actively support the cuisine makers in their hometowns. This land of lakes fare festival invites foodies to visit old favorites, try new and unique cuisines, dine-in and carry out, spoil your taste buds with a post-dinner sweet tooth treat, exclaim a toast with friends and family and engage in other creative ways to help restaurateurs successfully get back to full operations. Bon appétit, Lake County!

No matter the season, we enjoy the fruits of what Mother Nature gave us in Lake County: The tall trees, the winding trails, the serene bodies of waters, the creatures and critters and the picturesque plant life. Lake County provides outdoor escapes from the shelter in place with an up close and personal live-action Claude Monet portraits. The stars on a clear night are spectacular. You can experience a night hike as the LCFPD has solar-lit trails through late March. Hey Lake County, take a hike (or bike).

Erin go Bragh, Lake County! You have the luck o’ the Irish if you are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Lake County. Let’s face it; everyone has a little bit Irish in them when it comes to March 17. Green beverages shall be passed around, maybe a folk song (or “Danny Boy” far too many times) will be sung and clinks of beer mugs will resonate through the air. Besides beer, these places provide your St. Paddy’s Day starter kit: potatoes, corned beef, cabbage and shepherd’s pie. Here are some of the top events on everyone’s favorite Gaelic Day.
