Trick Or Treat Hours: Lake County's Halloween 2015

'Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!' is the age-old eloquent slogan when we went door to door as youngsters. Has that changed? Probably not, but the costumes are getting more out there I would assume.  Halloween is creeping up on us! Don't be caught without candy to give out during Trick-Or-Treating hours this year!

From 3pm-6pm enjoy Trick-or-Treating (Kids must be dressed in costume), followed by Halloween Dance Party & Costume Contest by Bressler Entertainment, a kid-owned DJ Company from 5pm-8pm, and "Design Your Own" Sliced Taffy Apple Decorating by Chase Events from 5pm-8pm. Halloween Hikes Halloween HikesFriday, Oct. 23 & Saturday, Oct. 24, 6 - 9:30 p.m., Ryerson Woods Bring the family to this long standing tradition at Ryerson Woods and enjoy an evening on a guided walk along a candlelit trail. The hour long hike makes stops along the trail to watch nature-themed skits. At the end of the hike enjoy cider and donuts in front of a fire in a log cabin. This program isn't scary, so even preschoolers will have fun. This program is meant for individual families and not organized groups. Friday & Saturday. 90 minute event. One hour hikes begin every 30 minutes from 6–8 pm. Total distance walked is about 1.5 miles. 

Small Discoveries: Happy Halloween Wednesday, Oct. 21, Greenbelt Cultural Center,10-11 a.m.

Small discoveries add up to big fun for your little ones ages 2-5! Join us select Wednesdays each month as we explore a variety of topics through stories, hands-on activities, pretend play and simple crafts. A great opportunity to learn, make new friends, and get to know other families. Celebrate Halloween traditions with stories, games and a variety of spooktacular activities. Costumes encouraged!
