One thing we sure know how to do on Thanksgiving is Gobble! We gobble up mashed potatoes, stuffing, and of course… turkey. The family’s all in town, and we’re all looking forward to our traditions, but what if we start a new one this year? People all over are lacing up their running shoes and heading out for their local Turkey Trots, all to benefit local food pantries and to help feed hungry neighbors this holiday season. (Plus, you can feel better about reaching for that second piece of homemade pumpkin pie later on.)
This idea is catching on all around, and with so many local options, and a 5k just around the corner, it’s easy to see why these birds of a feather are flocking together.
*Most races include an early registration/packet pick-up or on-site registration, so be sure to check out their websites for details and to sign up!
