2017 Back To School Deals & Events in Lake County

Your youngsters are probably dreading the hours of back to school shopping in Lake County. Well, we can streamline this process because the shopping must be done.
The goal is to get in – get what you need – and get out while everyone is still smiling (both adults and children). From clothes to backpacks to pens and other school supplies, there is plenty of wear and tear on some of the prior items that must be replaced before the school bells start ringing.
This guide is focused on the malls, but Lake County's downtown areas offer a variety of items for when your little tikes are headed back to school.
Here is your guide to 2017 back to school deals & events in Lake County.
Throughout August, Deer Park Town Center is hosting the Back To School Supply Drive & Gift with Purchase. Shoppers that spend $125 or more and donate a school supply item at the Lake County mall will receive two free tickets to Century Theatres.
The school supplies that you donate are given to Ingage Unlimted, a local organization founded to help children in poverty stricken countries. Bring your store receipts to the Deer Park Town Center Office.
Ingage Unlimited suggests these items to donate:
- Paper: Lined, copy and construction paper, spiral notebooks, composition books and index cards.
- Pencils & Pens: Blue or black pens, no. 2, fat and colored pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, pencil cases, colored, highlighter and dry-erase markers and crayons.
- General Supplies: Paper clips, three-ring two-inch binders, pocket folders and report covers.
- Classroom staples: Staplers, staples, rulers, protractors, glue sticks, glitter glue, scissors, tape, calculators, basic math flash cards and stickers.
- Other Supplies: Tissues, sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, backpacks and gluten free snacks.
