Superbowl Eats in Lake County

This weekend is the Superbowl. Obviously. You didn’t need me to tell you that.  Every year it breaks the record as the most watched television event in history… replacing its own stats from the year before.  It doesn’t matter if you like football, or if your favorite team didn’t make it this year (…there’s always next year Cutler), or if you’re just in it for the commercials.  The one thing everyone can agree on is the excuse to eat a bunch of delicious food and drinks to either help you celebrate…or help cheer you up.  Going to a party?  Or hosting your own?  Here are just a few options for some tasty superbowl dishes.

The Popcorn Factory Everyone needs something to snack on between the wings and pizza.  That’s where the Popcorn Factory comes in.  Get some Green Apple popcorn to help support the Seahawks, or get the classic orange cheese to show your Broncos colors.  And you definitely have to try their s’mores popcorn with giant chunks of graham crackers and delicious marshmallows and chocolate.

Real Urban BBQ in Highland Park and Vernon Hills Nothing says football like barbecue cooked to perfection… and in the fact that it’s from Real Urban BBQ then there’s really no beating it.  Impress the wing lovers at your Superbowl party with their delicious original blend of Sriracha ketchup and Dijon mustard and don’t stop there.  We’re talking smoked brisket, turkey, and bacon wrapped- cheese stuffed jalapenos.

Mickey Finns Pick up a couple of jugs of their home made craft beer to add a little something extra to your Superbowl Party this year.  Order some of their hot wings for 8.95/lb., cooked to perfection, with celery and bleu cheese at 847.362-BREW.

 

Emil’s Tavern Grayslake and Mundelein If you’re going to Emil’s you’ve gotta try their Pulled Pork. And their Italian Beef… and their pizza… and don’t forget their chopped salad.   And pretty much everything else!  It’s all good! (And if you have any Coleslaw fans in the house DO NOT leave this place without picking some up for them.)

All Stars on Board Vernon Hills Either take some of their amazing finger (lickin’) foods to go, or reserve a table to watch the game ithere!  They have 36 beers on tap, so I’m sure you’ll find something you like.  Reserve a table for 4 or more people and get a free bucket of wings!
