Let’s take a look at what Marriott has in store for us as “we feel stunning and entrancing,” because with this news, “we feel like running and dancing for joy.”

Higher and Higher: A Rock N Soul Party Featuring Chester Gregory (August 14-15)

Artists Lounge Live Summer Concert Series has returned to Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire. Broadway star and recording artist Chester Gregory swaggers back to the Lincolnshire stage to stun crowds with his “Higher and Higher: A Rock N Soul Party.” Gregory has starred in Broadway hits like “Motown: The Musical,” “Hairspray,” “Dreamgirls” and “The Jackie Wilson Story.” The charismatic thespian and songster will highlight his show by performing the tunes of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, James Brown, The Temptations and more. Dance, jive and boogie with Gregory as Marriott Theatre feature his art for two nights this weekend.

My Happiness: Michelle Lauto Sings Connie Francis (August 22)

Michelle Lauto is an award winning Chicago based actor, singer, writer, and educator. Lauto has been performing professionally since she was 16. The Jersey-born songstress sings tunes from the legendary singer Connie Francis bringing you hits like "Who's Sorry Now."

Elvis My Way Starring Brandon Bennett (August 28-29)

The electrifying Brandon Bennett (he starred in Million Dollar Quartet) sets the stage ablaze in a spine-tingling tribute to Elvis Presley. With his pure-bred southern charm, powerful voice, and scandalous moves, Bennett was named the “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” by Elvis Presley Enterprises at Graceland.

The World Goes 'Round (September 15-November 7)

Kander and Ebb are the music genius tandem wrote an array of show tunes for “Cabaret,” “Funny Lady,” “New York, New York,” “Chicago” and many more, including, of course, “And the World Goes ‘Round.'” The two gentlemen have shelved numerous Tony Awards. This production showcases a revue of the two taking the musical’s title from a song they wrote for Liza Minnelli in “New York, New York.”

Kiss Me Kate (November 17-January 16)

“Brush Up Your Shakespeare” knowledge as the beloved “Kiss Me, Kate” hits the Marriott stage. When you combine the stories of Billy Shakes and the musical genius of Cole Porter, you know it’s going to be magic. The musical was first released on Broadway in 1948 and won five Tony Awards in its first bout with the New York main stage. Just this year, it was nominated for four Tony’s in the “Broadway Revival” category. The show follows a story a cast rehearsing their production of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Show.” A love triangle goes awry with main characters Fred Graham, Lilli Vanessi, Lois Lane and Bill Calhoun, and somehow mob goons get involved due to Calhoun’s gambling debts. See the wild ride for yourself. Lights, camera, action!

The 12 Dames of Christmas Featuring Angela Ingersoll (December 6-7)

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me. Angela Ingersoll singing the hits of divas. Visit the Lincolnshire theatre for a yuletide celebration starring Angela Ingersoll. The long-time, Emmy-award nominee thespian will serenade you with festive favorites like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”

Merry Christmas Darling Heidi Kettenring sings Karen Carpenter

One of the Windy City’s finest Broadway stars, Heidi Kettenring, sings the tunes of Karen Carpenter. The three-octave contralto rock and jazz vocalist in Carpenter is a three-time Grammy-Award winner and listed in the top 100 Rolling Stone vocalist known for songs like “Close to you,” “Sing” and a slew of Christmas songs on her season’s greetings. Kettenring is known for her performances on Broadway in Chicago like her star-studded presentation in shows like “Wicked.”

The Four C Notes (December 31)

Created by John Michael Coppola, best known for his appearance in Chicago’s long-running production of the Broadway, smash hit “Jersey Boys,” “The Four C Notes are the Midwest’s premier group performing the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

West Side Story (February 2-March 27)

"Take it slow and Daddy-O.” The story between Maria and the two gangs is an innovative production and a catalyst to so many current Broadway acts. The culture, the choreography, the storytelling, “West Side Story” broke barriers and contributes so much in present-day musical theatre. The story is a modern-day (from the 1960s) set in New York’s upper west side when a gang member falls in love with his rival clique’s sister. The Broadway production has won several Tony Awards for its original cast and a slew of revivals including a nostalgic presentation staged in 2019. So are you a Jet or a Shark?  Relive your favorite songs like “Somewhere,” “America,” “Cool,” “Tonight” and “I Feel Pretty,” to name a few well-known jams.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music

“The hills are alive,” at the Marriott Theatre. Let’s just face it, that wiley Von Trapp family only breeds exceptional singers. The Lincolnshire theatre closes out its season with a widely beloved production based on the true story of the real Von Trapp family. The Austrian family hires Maria, a nun, and/or governess of the Von Trapp family home. Unfortunately, World War II occurs breaks out and our favorite family is caught in the middle of it during the height of their success. The Austrians request Captain Georg Von Trapp to join the Axis power, especially after his honorable exploits performed in WWI. However, the naval father (and widower) is not at all interested in fighting, plus he’s fallen for his nanny. The show not only won a bunch of Tony Awards, but it also bagged a bundle of Academy Awards and Golden Globes for the cinematic version. This show is going to be as good as “raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens!”
