Curt’s Café improves outcomes for young adults living in at-risk situations through work and life skills training. Open Monday through Saturday, they offer a variety of breakfast and lunch options such as their popular Signature Quinoa Breakfast Bowl. It's a Cafe with a cause!
Egg Harbor Cafe specializes in food that is carefully-sourced and often all-natural or organic. With locations in three states, they serve breakfast and lunch all day. The restaurant serves traditional breakfasts, various interpretations of eggs benedict, and breakfast bowls. Don't sleep on the many different styles of pancakes either.
The name says it all. Tony Cannoli makes many scrumptious desserts at its location in downtown Mundelein. The Lake County confectioner's signature bubble-free, crunchy shells of the Italian dessert are homemade and hand-rolled. In addition, the "Illinois Made" artisan offers a mocha cannoli shake. The sweet drink is created with smooth espresso gelato, the same creamy ricotta used to fill their marquee treat and served with a cannoli shell. Cannoli for breakfast? We approve.
One of the finest restaurants in Deerfield is Jaxx Bistro. It's sophisticated with a contemporary atmosphere. Serving breakfast daily, the restaurant inside the Hyatt Regency Deerfield offers a breakfast buffet with a variety of options to please any palate. We recommend trying their signature Crab Cake Benedict from their a la carte menu. They have you covered for first meal be it for business or pleasure.
La Casa de Samuel is nestled in the heart of downtown Waukegan. The restaurant not only offers fabulous lunches and dinners, but its open for breakfast as well. Enjoy the savory Huevos a la Albanil- scrambled eggs served in their house molcajete sauce with epazote. If these items seem like too much, allow us to recommend their pancakes topped with fruit.
Located in the historic Jensen house, The Latte Cafe and Bakery delivers hand-crafted drinks, made-to-order sandwiches and all kinds of sweet treats. The Antioch eatery features cappuccinos, macchiatos, chai and bubble teas and more. The barista joint offers a variety of selections that includes coffee flights. They also serve breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and burritos.
One of the most renowned bakeries in all of Lake County is in Antioch. Lovin Oven Cakery crafts sweet towers of sugary goodness. If you've been to wedding in Lake County, there's a good chance that you've had one of their wedding cakes. They also put smiles on faces with their delicious cookies and cupcakes. A cinnamon roll for breakfast sounds like a great idea.
The Oaken Bistro and Bar is a modern, upscale bistro located in The Forester Hotel in Lake Forest. The contemporary decor in their sophisticated dining room lends to an enjoyable morning meal experience. The breakfast menu has such offerings to accommodate any dietary restrictions. We recommend their vegetarian avocado toast that is served with black garlic agrodolce, toasted almonds, sunny farm eggs, and Lyonnaise potatoes.
Parkway Grill delivers casual American cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, serving breakfast lunch and dinner. The eatery is located inside Marriott Suites Deerfield. Breakfast is available daily, with open seating in a classy and comfortable setting.
Whistle Stop Cafe recently changed ownership in June 2022. This breakfast staple is located only a short walk from the Metra train line in downtown Fox Lake. The unique decor, location, and atmosphere set the tone for the small-town quaint diner feel. they serve everything from skillets, omelets, burgers, benedicts, and biscuits and gravy. Their pies continue to please their patrons and have made this establishment a mainstay in the community.
