You'll be amazed by their maize mazes. Richardson's Adventure Farm & Corn Maze is known for having the world's most massive corn maze. The Spring Grove area spans 33 acres of land and has 11 miles of trails. This year's theme to the renowned maze is celebrating the film saga "Jurassic Park" as the series hit the screens for the first time 30 years ago. The design features elements like a tyrannosaurus rex chasing after a jeep, raptors, brontosaurus, pterodactyls, and more. You'll say "clever girl" as you navigate the labyrinth. The Spring Grove Farm is also throwing a flower-power party with detailed trails through a 13-acre field. The sunflower trail is highlighted by 24 varieties, including yellow-headed, red multi-branched, orange, peach, and gold blossoms. The festivities include a beer and wine tent, carousel rides, yard games, live tunes, and a gift shop. The sunflower fields are open through September 24. Admission includes a free single sunflower to take home. Besides the famous maze, the Adventure Farm features another five mazes, a zip line, a pumpkin patch, ORBiting rides (a ride inside a giant 11-football), live pig races, a wooded picnic area, free campfires, pedal carts, pedal trikes, a goat farm, a corn cabin and wagon rides. Richardson Farm is open through Sunday, October 29.

The Northern Illinois Airshow, or Wings Over Waukegan, features vintage military crafts like the F-86 Sabre, delicious eats, mouthwatering drinks, photo-ops with the brave pilots, and more. The A-10 Thunderbolt II Deemo Team will dazzle senses with an exceptional air show. Remember your camera so you can capture the best snapshots and get there early to find the most optimal seating. The gates open at 9:30 a.m. As these flight captains have said in the past and what pilots will exclaim in the future, "Aim High…Fly-Fight-Win."

Deerfield's Harvest Festival is a splendid autumn party for the entire family. The event features the farmers market, kids activities like Touch-A-Truck, live tunes by 7th Heaven and West End bands, and delectable eats from Cadwell's Grille from Embassy Suites, Rosebud, Mario's Cart, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and more. Brew, wine, hard seltzer, and water are available for purchase.

Craft brew connoisseurs will 'hop' to Gurnee this weekend for the sixth annual Legions of Craft Beer Fest. Attendees will sample suds and wines from over 25 renowned breweries and wineries. Sip on selections from Lake County Libation Trail breweries such as 9th Hour Brewing Co. of Lake Villa, Liquid Love Brewing Co. of Buffalo Grove, Ravinia Brewing Co. of Highland Park, Buffalo Creek Brewing of Long Grove, Light the Lamp Brewery of Grayslake, Zümbier of Waukegan, Half Day Brewing Co. of Lincolnshire, Tighthead Brewing Co. of Mundelein, Wild Onion Brewery of Lake Barrington, Black Lung Brewing Co. of Round Lake Beach and more. The festival will feature local fare options like Primo Italian American Cuisine of Gurnee, Jesse Oaks Food of Gages Lake, and more. The live tunes from Big Brother Vinyl complement the libations and fare. Admission includes libations, a tasting stein, and raffle tickets.

The downtown southwestern Lake County village's party is highlighted by food trucks, an outdoor bar and, of course, toe-tapping tunes from live bands. The free admission event features live music from Kelly Daniels, Hello Weekend, and Arra. So, hit Main Street and clink some adult beverage glasses with your neighbors as they party like it's 2023 in Lake Zurich.

"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see," said French Impressionist Edgar Degas. The decade-plus-two-old Mundelein Arts Festival will showcase the talents of 45 exceptional artists and craftspeople spanning various mediums. The Mundelein Community Connection and the village's parks and rec department juried festival will award makers in six categories. The Kracklauer Park art party hosted by the Mundelein Park District and Mundelein Community Connection also features local musicians like Mary Lai, Prairie Sky, Doug Blake, and more. A tent also is available showcasing the works of Mundelein and Carmel Catholic High Schools.
