Relaxing sounds nice, doesn't it? As we both nod in agreement, here are your Christmas Tree Lighting and special holiday events in Lake County for 2017.
Head to the quaint Grayslake Downtown area to start your holidays the right way. Besides the popular tree lighting, there will be sleigh rides, Santa visits, refreshments, shopping, and a Holiday Market.
Lincolnshire Community Association makes the holidays a little brighter with its annual holiday tree lighting celebration! Bring the family and join your friends and neighbors to celebrate the arrival of the holiday season. Hot cocoa and desserts will be provided. Attendees will also receive musical performances and a very special visit from Santa! Contribute canned goods and/or an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program.
Help bring the holiday season in by assisting Mayor Roger Byrne to flip the switch to the holiday tree. Bring the family, the neighbors and the kids out for hot chocolate, cookies and cider. With the assistance of the Countryside Fire District, Santa has been able to clear his calendar in order to attend this event. See you there!
Visit Mundelein for its Annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday, December 1, 2017, beginning at 5 p.m. at Kracklauer Park. This beautiful and memorable event is hosted by Mundelein Community Connection and the Mundelein Park District. This is the perfect way to kick-off the beautiful holiday season. Winter festivities begin in downtown Highland Park with the Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 18 from 3-5 p.m. The event will feature live musical performances and a special appearance by Santa.
The Village of Fox Lake welcomes the winter season with their annual Illuminated Parade. View the glow of the floats as they make their way down Grand Avenue and Rollins Road to the Towne Center Plaza. Following the parade, guests are encouraged to visit Millennium Park to warm up with hot cocoa and watch the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable or canned food item to the tree lighting.
Enjoy the beautiful evening as Libertyville lights its spectacular tree. Fun for the whole family!
Join Round Lake Beach for an evening of fun as they host its annual Holiday Tree Lighting! The evening begins at the Village Hall with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on a Fire Truck at approximately 6:15 p.m. Shortly after, the annual lighting of the tree will begin. After the tree lighting ceremony, everyone is invited to warm up next door at the Cultural & Civic Center. Children can enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts and much more! Invite your friends and family for hot drinks and treats. The first 150 families at the Center will receive a Round Lake Beach holiday shopping gift bag filled with coupons to help you save and keep your Christmas shopping local.
