Although I’m not a professional theater reviewer, I do consider myself a professional theater lover - especially of this show. Taking place in Ancient Rome and employing a hilarious cast of characters, the story follows the slave Pseudolus on his quest for freedom. He is hoping to receive it as a trade for helping his young master, Hero, win the girl of his dreams behind Hero’s parents’ backs. One after the other, Pseudolus falls into a comical series of lies, each one used in his attempts to cover up the one before it.
The show is perfectly cast and the intimate theater draws you in, making you feel like you’re part of the show.
If you’re looking for something to do this month, I highly recommend you check out this musical at Citadel Theatre.
