Hello! We are David Krivoshik and Ian Haupt, interns through the Center For Conservation Leadership under the direction and receiving funding from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois Coastal Management Program.

    

About the Center for Conservation Leadership

The Center for Conservation Leadership aims to nurture and engage the next generation of conservation leaders through a comprehensive environmental education system. The Illinois Coastal Management Program is dedicated to protecting and managing natural and cultural resources along the shore of Lake Michigan.

About our Beach Survey

We are performing a public access survey of the beaches and marinas of Lake County along Lake Michigan to collect data ranging from the basic amenities that the beach provides to the specific regulations at that beach. This survey is being done so that there will be a useful cache of information about the beaches and marinas of Lake County that will inform visitors and residents about the myriad of opportunities along the coast.

As a further result, this survey hopes to encourage more people to use and value the beaches and marinas of Lake County. We are excited to share what we have found with you through upcoming blog posts.
