On Tuesday, March 12 at 11am, Miller's Dog n Suds opened for the season and I was stoked! For me it is a sign that summer is right around the corner. Plus, I have a soft spot for nostalgia and that is exactly what Miller's Dog n Suds is. I would usually stop sometime during the week, pull into the car stall, look at the menu, order my food and a car hop will bring it out to me. It is definitely a step back in time to the 50's. I have to mention though, that my favorite time to stop at Miller's Dog n Suds on Saturday nights, because of their Cruise-in withe cars pre 1973 (Street Rods, Muscle Cars, Custom, Classic & Antiques) and the different music bands that they have playing. A lot of people tend to bring their lawn chairs on Saturday nights and sit and listen to the music while the car hops bring them their food, they have a picnic area if you do not want to bring your lawn chairs. I am not one for dancing, but many others do get up and dance to some of the tunes. Some of the bands featured are the Rockin' Fenderskirts, a Tribute to Neil Diamond, Elvis and many more. It is always a must for me to order their Root Beer as they have the best homemade Root Beer in Lake County, plus either a coney dog or their Texas Burger. Just writing about them makes my mouth water. You will definitely see out at Miller's Dog n Suds this summer again and I hope to see you as well.
