New Year’s Eve in Lake County

Auld lang syne! The year 2017 is over, and we hope that all things good be brought your way in the coming year.

With 2018 rapidly approaching, Lake County offers dozens of celebrations and parties to ring in the new year.

Without further adieu, here are your top celebrations on New Year’s Eve in Lake County.

Ivy Ford Band at Mickey Finn’s

345 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville

10 p.m. – 1 a.m.

Mickey Finn’s fourth annual New Year’s Eve Party with the Ivy Ford Band. If you show up before 9 p.m., admission is free! After 9, the cover is $15. Free party favors and a champagne toast are included!


Potawatomi Casino & Resort

1721 W. Canal St., Milwaukee

The Milwaukee casino hosts events from 4 p.m.-1 a.m. Potawatomi Casino & Resort features dining deals, live entertainment/music and a really magnificent experience.


Wilmot Mountain

11931 Fox River Rd., Wilmot

Our favorite winter play place is highlighted by all day skiing and snowboarding, photo booth, face painting, games, live music, party favors, fireworks at 10 p.m and a champagne toast at midnight.


Chessie’s Restaurant

The Highland Park celebration includes one complimentary beverage, Chicago-style dinner buffet, live DJ, dancing, games, raffle prizes, balloon drop, champagne & Sparkling apple juice toast, goodie bags and more.

The bowling pub invites visitors for four hours of unlimited bowling with shoes included in admission. There will also be a gourmet buffet, soft drinks, sparkling cider, champagne toasts and more.

North Shore Distillery

Celebrate 2018 by tasting divine spirits at the Green Oaks distillery. North Shore Distillery is open on New Year’s Eve at their regular times of operation.

The Lake Zurich steakhouse features live music from ‘In the Stix’ covering modern country hits for New Year’s Eve. The celebration also includes a complimentary New Year’s Eve Cocktail and an outstanding buffet.

The Vine Martini Bar

The Grayslake martini bar serves an extravagant six-course meal with wine pairings. Mallory Lennon provides live sounds as The Vine Martini Bar features a balloon drop and a champagne toast.

O’Toole’s – Libertyville

9 p.m.

Three Brothers Theatre

221 N. Genesee St., Waukegan

8 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Three Brothers Theatre is bringing the most famous 70s discotheque, Studio 54. This event features a champagne toast, a live DJ, circus acts, delectable eats, a collection of raffles and goody bags. The Waukegan theatre encourages visitors to bring their own alcohol. Admission ranges between $35-$50.
