Can you believe it – It’s going to be 80 degrees in Lake County this weekend? Holy guacamole!
Gotcha – April Fools. However, the temperatures are rising, and outdoor activities are going to be more frequent.
There are plenty of Easter egg hunts and bunny sittings this weekend. However, while many are carrying their Easter bonnets, there are so many other activities there for family fun.

1.) Everyone enjoys a good party that celebrates the community. Libertyville does just that as MainStreet celebrates the second installment of their monthly party of First Fridays. After work, you could saunter with the family to enjoy the great cuisine of Libertyville, shimmy to live entertainment and scour the mom and pop stores that are offering promotional events. 2.) Musicians from Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute will stupefy as this ensemble will perform two centuries of music performing works from Schubert, Boccherini, Mendelssohn and Schoenberg’s work. The melodies from these legendary composers’ melodies will captivate audiences that receive their first taste of Ravinia this season.

3.) What is Easter without brunch? The Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center in Zion is taking reservations for Sunday’s Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt. Bring the family for the Annual Champagne Easter Brunch while the kids are greeted by an egg bearing bunny. The children will explore the Great Lawn of the Zion Resort for Easter egg hunts. Egg hunts will commence at 10 a.m. 12 and 2 p.m.

4.) Buckcherry has graced stages for over almost 20 years. They have brought you such hits as ‘Crazy (expletive),’ ‘Sorry’ and ‘Lit’ that were in the Top Billboard hits. Austin’s Fuel Room is bringing in the rock group to perform some of their older fan favorites and their new music form their most recent EP.

5.) College of Lake County always has extremely intriguing shows playing at the Lumber Center. The CLC International Film Series Featuring, ‘Neighboring Sounds.’ The cinema is about residents of an apartment block in Recife, Brazil. The community is already in disarray, and a security company offers their service and causes more chaos as the movie progresses. Kleber Medndonca Filho, who is the director, sound designer and widescreen composer of the film already, is enticing many with the synopsis of this movie. Be the first to see a masterpiece.
