Join your favorite SHE-roes as the inaugural Chicago-Gurnee DC Wonder Woman™ 5K, 10K and Half Marathon kicks off in Gurnee this Sunday. Registration for the DC Comics event includes a race kit, a DC Wonder Woman Run finisher's medal, a commemorative race bib and chip timing, a pro race photo and video and access to the post-race party. This run series occurs at seven different locations across the country. Sunday’s race steps off at Gurnee Mills for half marathoners and 10K joggers and they both end where they started at Stearns School. The 5K runners begin their sprint at Six Flags Great America and also cross the finish line at the Gurnee mall. All participants are invited to the post party festivities at Six Flags Great America.
Sunday, June 9; 10K/Half Marathon begin at 7 a.m., while 5K starts at 8 a.m. Registration: $25-$99. Gurnee Mills, 6170 W. Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Mundelein Community Connections and Tighthead Brewing Company join forces to host the Mundelein Craft Beer Festival. Admission for this event includes a souvenir tasting glass and brew samples from over 40 local breweries. The Mundelein brew fest also features live music and food trucks serving fare for purchase. Designated driver tickets are available.

Take a leisurely stroll or a bike ride on the MainStreet Libertyville Historic Home Tour. Five facilities will be showcased including homes constructed in 1905, 1912, 1921, a church that is aged 150 years and a unique interpretation of a traditional Italian villa. Tickets can be purchased online at mainstreetlibertyville.org or on the day of the event (cash or check).

Treat your taste buds to the delectable flavors from Latin America at the Sabor de Waukegan Festival or the Taste of Waukegan Fest. The Belvidere Mall event will feature Mexican and other Latino cuisines, live music, artists and an abundance of surprises. The event is free of admission.
