By: Jonathan Jones 03/30/2017

There's a little bit of everything going on in this edition of things to do this weekend March 31-April 2.

It's the Final Four folks. If your brackets are still breathing with this debacle of a tournament, then we commend you.

Also just a mere two weeks till Six Flags Great America's sneak preview weekend. If you're a first timer or even a grizzled veteran, continue here.

But without further adieu, here are your top things to do this weekend March 31-April 2.

1. Lambs Farm Farmyard Open for the Season

The Libertyville farmyard is not fooling anyone this April 1, because Lambs Farm is open for the season. Visit everyone’s farmyard friends like horses, llamas, goats, potbelly pigs, miniature cattle, equine sheep and so many more adorable creatures at the Lambs Farm petting zoo. The Discovery Center allows your youngsters to see how they ‘measure up’ to some of the animals in the farmyard. Don’t forget to complete your visit by competing in a friendly round of mini-golf, taking a ride on the miniature train and enjoying the old world carousel with brightly colored horses. The Libertyville farmyard stays open through October 29.

Saturday-Sunday April 1-2; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Child day pass $12, adult day pass $8. Other attractions require additional admission. Farmyard admission $5. Lambs Farm, 14245 W. Rockland Rd., Libertyville.

2. Princesses & Superheroes at Volo Auto Museum

Are your kids looking for an opportunity to perform their best Wolverine, Belle, Dr. Who or Cinderella impressions? Volo Auto Museum is throwing their Princess & Superheroes event. You and the family will see famous superhero and princess vehicles, see the automotive history and participate in plenty of photo opportunities throughout the day. Volo Auto Museum also will unveil the Tumbler Batmobile as seen in “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” Children 13 and under in costume will get free admission to the Volo museum with an adult.

Sunday, April 2; Noon-3 p.m. Admission: Children are free with costumes. Adult admission: $15, Senior admission: $13. Children Admission: $9. Children age five and under: Free. Volo Auto Museum, 27582 Volo Village Rd., Volo.

3. Man of La Mancha at the P.M.&L Theatre

P.M.&L Theatre in Downtown Antioch is staging the classic musical Man of La Mancha. This Miguel de Cervantes-inspired story of Don Quixote is an allegory of the ‘mad,’ but kind-hearted knight who leads his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition. Quixote, along with his squire Sancho Panza, fights dragons (or windmills) to save faux noblewoman Dulcinea del Toboso. The Antioch show is a poignant story of one man’s ultimate quest. This show contains adult themes. The musical stretches until Sunday, April 9.

Friday-Sunday, March 31-April 2; Fri-Sat 8 p.m., Sun 2:30 p.m. Ticket prices: $10-$18. P.M.&L Theatre, 877 Main St., Antioch.
