1.) First Fridays on MainStreet in Downtown Libertyville
Friday, December 5, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Winter Celebration2.) Deerfield’s 4th Annual Winter Celebration
Friday, December 5, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 6, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m
Kick off the weekend by taking the family to the Deerfield to celebrate the holidays with festive activities for every age. Enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides, roasted chestnuts, carolers, warm treats, live animals and more. The Big Jolly fellow will be on hand on Saturday for photo opportunities with the kids. 3.) Waukegan’s HolidayWauk
Saturday, December 6, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

A fun filled family day awaits you in Downtown Waukegan. Start the day with breakfast with Santa at Green Town for the little ones. The teenagers in your household will the love the Super Smash Bros Gaming Tournament at 17 North. There will also be free holiday craft making activities. The day will end with the tree lighting ceremony at Jack Benny Plaza. Downtown Waukegan, Genesee St. & Grand Ave.

Holiday Train4.) Holiday Train in Viking Park in Gurnee
Sunday, December 7, 3:45 p.m.

The brightly decorated Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train will be making a stop at Viking Park in Gurnee. The holiday train is 1,000 feet long with 14 brightly decorated rail cars, including a boxcar that turns into a stage for musical performers. There will be candy cane treats for the kids and live holiday music. Viking Park, Gurnee.

5.) The Illinois Brass Band Holiday Concert
Sunday, December 7, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The Illinois Brass Band Holiday Concert will feature glorious music of the season. With a cheerful mix of traditional carols, holiday classics, and jazzy updates of Christmas favorites, it will be an afternoon that will put the entire family in the holiday spirit.
