The Village of Antioch’s Civic Spring Carnival is happening through Sunday in Downtown Antioch on Toft Street. While the kids enjoy midway rides and games, do a little shopping or have a nice dinner. The carnival will be held Friday from 6pm – 11pm, Saturday 1pm – 11pm and Sunday 1pm – closing.
This is the last weekend for the Marriott Theatre’s, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. The story of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life for young audiences. The play is set to an engaging variety of musical styles. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 10am.
Lambs Farm Famous Farmyard, is open daily through October from 10am – 5pm. Kids will enjoy meeting Mrs. Wiggles, the 450 pound pig with an affinity for Bavarian Crème donuts and Oreo Cookies. Parents will see the joy on their child’s face when they climb into the petting zoo with goats, sheep and lambs. Enjoy a ride on the old-fashioned carousel or the train, and then challenge the family to a round of mini golf.
The weather reports are forecasting temperatures in the mid 60s to low 70s. That is perfect as Blarney Island in Antioch opens for the season. If you don’t have a boat, no worries, you can take a ride on the ferry from Port of Blarney to the island. Stop out to the island for a drink and a burger.
