Here are the top six things to do this weekend November 8-10.
1. Dungeon of Doom Haunted House in Zion Final Weekend
Get ready for spine-tingling chills as Dungeon of Doom Haunted House keeps its gates open for one final weekend this year. New to this legendary haunt is the “The Condamned,” with its most massive-themed sets created to date. Those brave enough to explore will trek through a massive custom-built forest where frights await where they least expect. Fan-favorite areas include “The Boiler Room,” “The Cabin” and “Mercy General Hospital.” The Zion scare facility features “The Blackout” event. Thrill-seekers will experience the dungeon like never before, in total darkness, with only a glow stick to navigate their way. The Dungeon of Doom closes their gates on November 9.

2. "So You Think You Can Dance Live! 2019" at Genesee Theatre
From the TV to the stage, “So You Think You Can Dance Live! 2019” makes a stop in Waukegan when the FOX show's season 16, top 10 finalists visit Genesee Theatre. The 16-time Emmy Award-winning show has lit up the stage with crowd-pleasing routines that mesmerize fans during this nationwide tour. This impressive, all-ages live format will provide the audiences a unique perspective in the personalities of the dancers, and show-goers might learn a step or two as they cut a rug in their seats.
Saturday, November 9; 8 p.m. Tickets: starting at $40. Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan.
3. "Chess" at PM&L Theatre in Antioch
“Everybody's playing the game, but nobody's rules are the same. Nobody's on nobody's side.” The PM&L Theatre opens the curtain to the storied Tim Rice classic rock musical “Chess.” The Tony Award-nominated follows a love triangle of an American chess star, the Russian champion and a Hungarian assistant set during the Cold War era. The score includes songs such as, “One Night in Bangkok” and “Heaven Help My Heart.” The show opens Friday, November 8 and runs through November 24 on weekends.

4. Live WGN Broadcast Featuring Dean Richards at Treetime Christmas Creations
It’s time to pack up the spooky décor and get ready to deck the halls as the holidays are right around the corner. 5. Vipers Pro Basketball Home Opener in Gurnee
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships,” said Chicago Bulls basketball legend Michael Jordan. Vipers Pro Basketball now calls the Village of Gurnee home. The Vipers Pro Basketball is a semi-pro ABA hoops team consisting of former D-I athletes, international players and local ballers with hopes of moving to the NBA hardwood. Catch these players on their new homecourt at Warren High School as they open their season this Saturday against Lacrosse (WI) Showtime.

6. Family Game Night in Mundelein
The Dunbar Recreation Center is hosting a Family Game Night, an evening full of challenges, trivia and games that are perfect for the entire family. The Mundelein Park District event is also highlighted by “minute-to-win-it challenges,” snacks and beverages, a photo booth and of course, bragging rights.
